Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bramley application ("Bramley", "the Service"). Bramley is developed and operated by Adam McCann, an individual based in the United Kingdom ("I", "me"). Bramley is not operated by a company. By signing in to or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Bramley is a personal work assistant. It connects to sources you choose, such as Gmail, organises what it finds into an inbox, tasks, people and companies, and can prepare drafts and run agent sessions at your direction. The Service is currently a private, invitation-only preview. Features may change, be added or be removed at any time, and the Service may be interrupted or discontinued.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement.
You need an invitation, and you sign in with a Google account.
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Google account secure. Tell me promptly at dev@bramley.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.
If you use Bramley on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to connect that organisation's accounts and data.

3. Your data

You keep all rights to the data you connect to or create in Bramley ("Your Data"). You give me a limited permission to access, store, process and display Your Data only as needed to provide the Service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to connect the sources and data you use with Bramley.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, fraudulent or abusive;
send spam or unsolicited messages through the Service;
access data or accounts you are not authorised to access;
interfere with, disrupt, probe or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure;
resell, sublicense or provide the hosted Service to others without permission; or
use the Service in breach of the terms of any connected third-party service.

5. Third-party services

Bramley works with third-party services, such as Google and AI model vendors, including agent accounts you connect yourself. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. I am not responsible for third-party services, and their availability may affect the Service.

6. AI-generated output

Bramley uses AI models to classify, summarise, extract and draft. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Review drafts, tasks and other output before relying or acting on them. You are responsible for anything you send or do using the Service.

7. Open source

Bramley is intended to be released as open source. If and when the source code is published, your use of that code will be governed by its open-source licence. These Terms govern the hosted Service I operate. The Bramley name and logo are not licensed for use except as allowed by law or with permission.

8. Fees

The Service is currently provided free of charge. If paid features are introduced, you will be told in advance and will not be charged without agreeing.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and ask for your account to be deleted. I may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, to protect the Service or other users, or if the Service is discontinued. Where reasonable, I will give notice and a chance to export Your Data. Sections 3, 6 and 10 to 13 survive termination.

10. Disclaimer

The Service is a preview provided by an individual, free of charge, on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for a particular purpose, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything important.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, arising from your use of the Service. My total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim and £100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

12. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. If changes are material, you will be notified in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory law where you live gives you the right to bring proceedings there.
